  • Is the resin food-safe?

Yes! We use a high-quality, food-safe resin that is non-toxic and completely safe once fully cured. The wood side of the board is recommended for cutting, while the resin side is ideal for serving.

  • Do you use any stains or treatments on the wood?

No, we do not use any stains, dyes, or artificial coloring on the wood. The color is 100% natural, coming entirely from the wood itself. The only thing we apply to our boards is cutting board butter (a blend of food-grade mineral oil and beeswax) to nourish and protect the wood.

  • Can I use this board, or is it just decorative?

Our boards are fully functional and perfect for serving cheese, charcuterie, or appetizers. The wood side is safe for cutting, while the resin side is best for serving and displaying to preserve its beauty.

  • Does the resin get scratched?

Resin is durable but can develop minor surface scratches over time, especially with heavy use. To keep your board looking its best, we recommend using the wood side for cutting and reserving the resin side for serving or display. Light scratches won’t affect functionality, and occasional polishing with a food-safe mineral oil can help maintain its shine.

  •  Is it difficult to care for this board?

Not at all! Caring for this board is simple:

Hand wash with mild soap and water; do not soak or put it in the dishwasher.

Reapply any food-grade oil from time to time to keep the wood nourished and looking its best.

Avoid excessive heat on the resin to maintain its smooth, glossy finish.

  • Will the resin design look exactly like the photos?

Each piece is hand-poured, meaning no two designs are identical—just like the ocean! Your set will have a unique wave pattern, making it truly special.

This cutting board is GORGEOUS! I love the dark walnut with the beautiful ocean waves depicted on the front. I have been looking for the right one of these for a charcuterie board for a long time. I live in a beach house, so it is perfect for the setting. The engraving we had added is flawless. The ocean waves LOOK LIKE WAVES, and you can tell it is truly an expert job. Please take a moment to look at my pictures. Lastly, it came beautifully packaged complete with a box and bow, along with a small honey and honey stick. Because the package is so beautiful, we will be purchasing for our family and friends. It is the PERFECT gift.
