Caring for your board
A little love keeps it beautiful for a lifetime. Here’s how I care for mine.
Hand wash only
Never the dishwasher. Heat and water can warp or crack wood.
Dry right away
Wipe dry after washing so moisture doesn’t soak in.
Oil when it looks dry
Rub in food-safe mineral oil, let it sit a few hours, wipe off the excess.
Seal with beeswax
A thin layer, 5–15 minutes, then buff in circles with a cotton cloth.
Deep clean naturally
Coarse salt and half a lemon, rest 5 minutes, scrub and rinse.
Resin needs nothing
For extra shine, rub lightly with a little oil.
